Abstract

El presente trabajo recoge los textos más significativos de cuatro tragedias de Séneca: Edipo, Fenicias, Agamenón y Tiestes, que nos permiten trazar la trayectoria de los hechos legendarios que forman parte de la saga de los Labdácidas y la de los Pelópidas. Analizamos la imitación que Séneca hace del teatro griego y confirmamos la originalidad del teatro latino, respecto al griego, especialmente por la profusa utilización que hace de la mitología. The present work gathers the most significant texts of four tragedies of Seneca: Oedipus, Phoenissae, Agamemnon and Thyestes, which allow us to plan the path of the legendary facts that form a part of the saga of the Labdacids and that of the Pelopids. We analyze the imitation that Seneca does of the Greek theatre and we confirme the originality of the Latin theatre, with regard to the Greek, specially by the profuse utilization that he does of the mythology.
