El presente trabajo pretende explorar los cambios institucionales para alentar una acción voluntaria y cooperativa de las empresas a favor de la llamada responsabilidad social. Concebida la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) como un mecanismo de provisión de bienes públicos, la elección de un adecuado marco institucional para la toma de decisiones responsables por parte de cada empresa, estableciendo los incentivos adecuados, la voluntad de pagar —o internalizar las externalidades—, y la
promoción de decisiones colectivas se presenta a priori como una alternativa con enormes potencialidades.
