Abstract
[ABSTRACT]The following article talks about several post-incunabula that belonged to the period of Cardenal Cisneros, and are nowadays kept in the Biblioteca Histórica Marqués de Valdecilla (UCM). These books are well known not only in the history of printing but also in the history of music and liturgy due to several reasons. The study has been practised in five different books (Psalterium, 1515; 2 copies of the Intonarium Toletanum, 1519, 1520; and 2 copies of the Diurnum 1519,1520) that have been bibliographically described as well as their bindings and also their musical aspects. It’s remarkable to point out that these melodies were all well known at Antonio de Cabezón’s time, famous Spanish composer and organist, who could have inspired himself in some of these melodies for his further compositions.
