Abstract
En este artículo se describen la estructura y la naturaleza de los sistemas de creencias de un grupo de estudiantes de Secundaria en España y en Bélgica (Flandes) elicitadas a través de un cuestionario diseñado para este fin desde un enfoque sistémico. El cuestionario Mathematics-Related Beliefs Questionnaire (MRBQ) mide cuatro dimensiones de sistema de creencias en matemáticas: creencias sobre el papel y el funcionamiento del profesor, creencias sobre el significado y la competencia en Matemáticas, creencias sobre la matemática como actividad social, creencias sobre las matemáticas como un dominio de excelencia. Se identifican las relaciones entre creencias, género, rendimiento y opción de estudio elegida por los estudiantes.
