Abstract
La investigación presentada en esta tesis constituye una respuesta a la falta de programas formativos de alfabetización informacional para la inclusión social de las mujeres reclusas en las cárceles de la Comunidad de Madrid. En los centros penitenciarios femeninos de la Comunidad de Madrid no existen programas formativos específicos para la adquisición de competencias informacionales, además se da la circunstancia de que no disponen de acceso a Internet por motivos de seguridad. La brecha informacional, digital y de género, dificulta su integración en el mercado laboral y las aboca a la exclusión social. Es por ello que el objetivo de esta investigación ha sido elaborar una propuesta formativa de alfabetización informacional para la inclusión social, con el fin de que las reclusas adquieran las competencias informacionales y digitales necesarias para su desarrollo social y educativo desde el enfoque de la inclusión social y laboral, mejorando así sus condiciones de vida y trabajo e incrementando su participación como ciudadanas activas en la sociedad contemporánea. The research presented in this thesis is a response to the lack of training programs in information literacy for social inclusion of women in prison in the Community of Madrid. In the prisons for women in the Community of Madrid there are no specific training programs for the acquisition of informational competences, moreover, there is the fact that Internet access is not available for security reasons. The informational, digital and gender gap, hampers the integration in the labor market and heads them toward social exclusion. That is why the goal of this research has been to develop a training proposal in information literacy for social inclusion, in order for the inmates to acquire the necessary informational skills for their social and educational development from the perspective of labor and social inclusion, thereby improving their working and living conditions and increasing their participation as active citizens in the contemporary society. The method chosen to learn the reality lived by women prisoners, in relation to the lack of training in informational skills offered in the prison context, is the case study. This case study was conducted at the "Jaime Garralda" Unit of Mothers in Madrid. To achieve our goal, in the first place, an analysis has been performed of the general and specific environment that has allowed us to define the context for the implementation of our training proposal. A literature review and the experiences encountered related to our object of study has allowed us to determine the need to produce a training program for the acquisition of information literacy in the female prison context. Then, to develop our proposal, we have relied on the theoretical framework about information literacy for social inclusion and on the collection of data through a users’ study directly made among the participating inmates in our case study. The analysis of the collected data reflected relevant facts, that showed that the inmates had a very low level of knowledge both software and informational.
