Abstract
En esta Tesis se presenta un estudio sociolingüístico sobre el habla de los dominicanos en Madrid, la cual se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la convergencia y divergencia de la variedad dominicana y la variedad madrileña a través del contacto dialectal en la capital peninsular. También se propuso establecer los factores lingüísticos, sociales y situacionales que condicionan las variables lingüísticas analizadas. A pesar de los lazos de parentesco que existen entre estas dos variedades, lo cierto es que poseen diferencias singulares que han surgido a través del tiempo y que se desarrollan y refuerzan a través de la distancia de los contextos geográfico a los que pertenecen. Por consiguiente, la motivación que impulsó la realización de esta investigación era observar el comportamiento de la variedad innovadora –la dominicana– cuando vuelve a entrar en contacto con la variedad conservadora –la madrileña– en un contexto en el que la variedad dominicana se constituye en la variedad inmigrante a través del contacto dialectal internacional. Ahora bien, debido a la extensión y a la complejidad del contacto, solo se determinó observar seis variables fonéticas y cinco gramaticales. Las variables fonéticas fueron los implosivos /-s/, /-l/ y /-r/, la dental intervocálica /-d-/, la distinción entre s/θ y la prenuclear /x-/; las variables morfosintáctias fueron la concordancia existencial, el contraste entre el pretérito perfecto simple (PPS) y el pretérito perfecto compuesto (PPC), la presencia y posición del sujeto en las oraciones interrogativas directas, el leísmo y el uso de tener vs. llevar...
This thesis presents a sociolinguistic study about the speech patterns of Dominican people living in Madrid, which was carried out with the purpose to determinate the convergence and divergence between the Dominican variety and the Madrilenian variety through dialect contact in the Spanish capital. Other purposes were to establish the linguistic, social and situational factors that determine the observed linguistic variables. Despite the relatedness of these two varieties, it is true that they have differences that have emerged over time and are developed and reinforced by the distance of the geographical contexts to which they belong. Therefore, the motivation of this research project was to analyse the behaviour of the innovative variety –the Dominican dialect– when it returns into contact with the conservative variety –the Madrilenian dialect– in a context where the Dominican variety constitutes the immigrant variety through international dialect contact. Due to the complexity and extent of the dialect contact only six phonetic and five grammatical variables were observed. The phonetic variables were the implosive /-s/, /-l/, /-r/, the dental intervocalic /-d-/, the distinction between s/θ, and the pre-nuclear /x-/; the grammatical variables were the pluralization of haber, the contrast between pretérito perfecto simple (PPS) and pretérito perfecto compuesto (PPC), the presence and position of the subject in direct interrogative sentences, the leísmo and the use of tener and llevar. In the field study, we interviewed a hundred Dominican migrants living in Madrid, which produced a corpus of 1780 minutes in informal style and 500 minutes in the formal one...
