Abstract
Este proyecto se plantea como una reflexión sobre las relaciones entre arte, sociedad y memoria, un arte de carácter relacional que implica prácticas etnográficas, y que, por tanto, investiga contextos envolviéndose en ellos y reactivando la memoria social de los mismos. Se trata de un arte que se interesa por el “otro”, ese otro múltiple, minoritario y periférico. Por otro lado, dado el procedimiento técnico usado en el proyecto y en general en mis trabajos, este Trabajo de Fin de Máster investiga también acerca de las relaciones entre arte y artesanía, sus posibles desplazamientos y las históricas vinculaciones que tienen este tipo de prácticas con la mujer, reflejando otro de los problemas del “otro”, ya que la mujer ha estado relegada a un papel menor en la sociedad. Todo esto enmarcándolo desde una revisión del arte contemporáneo, y a partir de mi obra-proyecto REPASOS, una creación de producción colectiva sobre los desaparecidos del Sahara realizada en los propios Campamentos de Refugiados en el contexto del exilio de este pueblo; donde trabajé acerca de las desapariciones causadas por conflictos políticos y con el bordado, como medio que me permitió desarrollar un trabajo colectivo y, que a su vez, es una metáfora sobre los hilos de la memoria, en un gesto de remendar simbólicamente alguno de los pesares por los que pasa este pueblo olvidado que vive en el exilio desde hace 37 años en una parte del mundo que poco miramos.
This project is a reflection about the relations between art, society and memory, a relational art that involving ethnographic practices, and that, therefore, research contexts wrapping them and reactivating the social memory of them. It is an art that is interested in the "other", the other multiple, minor and peripheral. Otherwise, by the technical procedure that I used in this project and in my work, this paper research also about the relationship between art and craft, the possible displacement and historical links that have this type of practice women, reflecting another problem of the "other", because women have been relegated to a minor role in society. All this framing from a review of contemporary art, and from my work-project Repasos, a collective creation about the missing in the Sahara, conducted themselves in refugee camps in the context of the exile of the people; where I worked on disappearances caused by political conflicts and embroidery, as a medium that allowed me to develop a collective work, and, in turn, is a metaphor for the threads of memory, in a symbolic gesture of everything by passing this forgotten people living in exile for 37 years in the world that little look.
