Abstract
En esta tesis hemos llevado a cabo un trabajo de investigación a partir de la formación de dos corpus: el primero sobre los apellidos hispánicos procedentes de arabismos y el segundo sobre los nombres personales –nombres de pila– de origen arábigo en la antroponimia hispánica contemporánea. Todo ello, con el fin de mostrar la huella arábiga en la onomástica hispánica actual y el estudio de la onomástica como reflejo de la historia social. Además, hemos realizado un análisis de los rasgos principales de los elementos constituyentes de estos corpus y su comparación con sus equivalentes románicos, contrastando los sistemas onomásticos árabe e hispánico y su evolución.A nuestro parecer, aunque últimamente disponemos de importantes estudios sobre el tema, principalmente en el ámbito de la antroponimia románica, cuyos autores pertenecen al equipo PatRom; no se ha prestado la atención que merece el elemento árabe en los dominios iberorrománicos. In this thesis we have carried out a two corpus based study; the first on Hispanic surnames that originate from Arabisms and the second on personal names - first names- of Arabic origin in contemporary Hispanic anthroponymy. This is done in order to show the Arabic influence in the current Hispanic onomastics and the study of the onomastics as a reflection of the social history. Moreover, we have carried out an analysis of the main features of the constituent elements of these corpuses and their comparison with their romance equivalents, contrasting the Arabic and Spanish onomastic systems and their evolution.In our opinion, although many onomastic studies are being conducted recently, mainly in the area of romance anthroponyms, whose authors belong to the impressive and extensive PatRom project and insufficient attention has been paid to the Arab element in Hispanic anthroponymy. This study is not only a work of compilation and collection, but also an attempt to advance in the knowledgeof the etymology of some anthroponyms in relation to the historic context in which the Arabic seed has been planted its main contributions in the Hispanic anthroponym and onomastic in general.
