Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación trata sobre el estudio de los factores que influyen en la elección de una universidad en los estudiantes jóvenes y adultos del Perú; donde la información contribuye a obtener datos relevantes sobre el proceso de toma de decisiones de los estudiantes que contribuirá a comprender comportamientos futuros que cada vez son más selectivos y exigentes. Asimismo, el número de postulaciones y matrículas van en crecimiento en las universidades privadas y públicas del Perú. En la revisión de la literatura vemos factores relevantes que determinan el proceso de elección del estudiante, del cual analizaremos desde la perspectiva de la siguiente clasificación: factores institucionales, factores sociales y factores demográficos; los mismos que entran como una propuesta de modelo de análisis en el presente estudio. Esta propuesta permitirá brindar herramientas a los gerentes de marketing educativo del Perú para que enfoquen sus estrategias en mejorar estos factores que son tan importantes para el estudiante y las universidades; permitiendo atraer nuevos estudiantes y recomendando a otros la universidad.
