Abstract
La mise aux enchères de l'oganisation des J.O. par le CIO amène les villes candidates à une surenchère en sous-estimant leurs coûts d'organisation et d'infrastructures. Pour la ville qui obtient les Jeux, cette sous-estimation se traduit par une hausse du coût réel jusqu'à un multiple du coût initialement annoncé.
