Abstract
La presente tesis doctoral realiza un acercamiento analítico a los fundamentos de la literatura faulkneriana. Los textos del autor sureños son el punto de partida de un análisis multidisciplinar que aborda cuestiones como la influenciad del contexto histórico en sus escritos, el tradicionalismo sureño, la estructuración de la comunidad y lucha del individuo contra la hostilidad del entorno. En el primer capítulo se establece cómo los grandes conflictos bélicos del siglo XIX y XX, el contexto sociocultural, el tradicionalismo sureño y sus rasgos biográficos son proyectados a sus escritos para componer su propio imaginario sureño. Asimismo, se realiza un estudio sobre la narratología faulkneriana prestando una especial atención a los rasgos modernistas de sus novelas y a la ausencia de una linealidad temporal. La voz narrativa crea su discurso entrelazando el momento en el que realiza la narración y su propio espacio interior de percepción. El resultado es un discurso cuya linealidad temporal está alterada por recuerdos y sensaciones pretéritas. This doctoral thesis makes an analytical approach to the fundamentals of Faulknerian literature. The southern author's writings are the starting point of a multidisciplinary analysis that considers issues such as the influence of the historical context on his novels, southern traditionalism, community structuring and the individual's struggle against the hostility of the environment. The first chapter establishes how the great warlike conflicts of the 19th and 20th centuries, the socio-cultural context, Southern traditionalism and his biographical features are projected into his literature to compose his own Southern imaginary. A study of Faulknerian narratology is also carried out, focusing on the modernist features of his novels and the absence of a temporal linearity. The narrative voice creates the discourse by intertwining the present moment in which the narration takes place and its own inner space of perception. The result is a discourse whose temporal linearity is altered by past memories and sensations. The present does not have a real value as it is a simple consequence of the acts that have occurred and the projection point of the future that will occur...
