Abstract
La presente tesis trata de profundizar en el estudio contextualizado del universo mítico amazónico, mediante el análisis, comparación y desarrollo de fuentes en la Antigüedad. Este trabajo recopila no solo la mayor cantidad de fuentes escritas conocidas entre los ss. VIII aC y VI dC, si no que las pone en relación con la más completa base de datos realizada hasta el momento en cuanto al arte amazónico. Desde un punto de vista contextual, se trata de estudiar la interacción entre la crítica histórica de fuentes literarias y el estudio de los realia, de la iconografía, la construcción cultural y el trabajo de campo. La razón fundamental para un trabajo tan extenso radica en el intento de superar las limitaciones que puede suponer un análisis acotado y, en consecuencia, excluyente, en cuanto a los resultados obtenidos, dificultando obtener una visión global, integradora y flexible que sea capaz de poner en relación facetas que aparentemente pueden parecer independientes pero que forman parte de un todo al que dan sentido.El estudio de las manifestaciones artísticas se realizará de manera pormenorizada, registrando y relacionando los motivos pictóricos, periodos históricos, tipología de las piezas, estilo y ubicación geográfica, cuyos datos aportan valiosa información sobre el desarrollo del mito, sus temáticas, adaptaciones y posible finalidad, a fin de establecer paralelismos o divergencias con respecto al resto de fuentes según sea el caso. Por ese motivo, de manera conjunta a la tesis escrita, se ofrece una extensa base de datos en formato electrónico que recoge todas las piezas mencionadas y clasificadas por categorías según su tipología y temática.
This thesis tries to deepen the contextualized study of the mythical Amazonian universe, through the analysis, comparison and development of sources in Antiquity. This work collects not only the largest number of written sources known among ss. VIII BC and VI AD, if not that puts them in relation to the most complete database made so far in terms of Amazonian art. From a contextual point of view, it is about studying the interaction between the historical critique of literary sources and the study of the realia, of the iconography, the cultural construction and the field work. The fundamental reason for such extensive work lies in the attempt to overcome the limitations that a limited analysis may entail and, consequently, excluding, in terms of the results obtained, making it difficult to obtain a comprehensive, inclusive and flexible vision that is capable of putting in relation to facets that apparently may seem independent but that are part of a whole to which they make sense.The study of artistic manifestations will be carried out in detail, recording and relating the pictorial motifs, historical periods, type of pieces, style and location geographical, whose data provide valuable information about the development of the myth, its themes, adaptations and possible purpose, in order to establish parallels or divergences with respect to the rest of the sources as the case may be. For this reason, in conjunction with the written thesis, an extensive database is offered in electronic format that includes all the mentioned pieces and classified by categories according to their typology and thematic...
