Abstract
El objetivo de la tesis doctoral La etapa de esplendor de la imprenta manual toledana. Repertorio tipobibliográfico (1498-1550) es analizar el panorama editorial en la Ciudad Imperial desde que el alemán Pedro Hagenbach fundara su taller en 1498 tras ser requerido por el cardenal Cisneros hasta mediados de la centuria siguiente. Como las tipobibliografías que han precedido a este estudio, el marco teórico y metodológico en el que se ha desarrollado viene determinado por el Proyecto Tipobibliografía Española que pretendía realizar un inventario completo de la producción de las prensas españolas a lo largo del siglo XVI. La finalidad, en nuestro caso, es la elaboración de un Repertorio tipobibliográfico que permita establecer y concretar el corpus de ediciones que fueron estampadas por los diversos talleres de imprenta toledanos que estuvieron activos durante poco más de medio siglo...
The aim of this doctoral thesis, The golden age of the early printing press in Toledo. A Bibliographic catalogue (1498-1550), is to analyse the scope of publishing in the city of Toledo from 1498, when the German Pedro Hagenbach founded his workshop at the request of Cardinal Cisneros, until the middle of the following century. Like the typographical bibliographies preceding this study, its theoretical and methodological framework is based on the Tipobibliografía Española project, whose aim was to create a complete and exhaustive inventory of the output of Spanish printing presses over the course of the 16th century. The objective in this case is to construct a bibliographical catalogue which identifies and establishes the corpus of works printed in the various Toledo print workshops that were active for little more than half a century...
