Abstract
El objetivo general es analizar mediante un estudio preclínico in vivo los mecanismos existentes de la relación entre depresión y periodontitis. Objetivo específico: - Poner a punto un modelo preclínico in vivo (ratas) para el estudio de la influencia de las enfermedades periodontales (periodontitis) en las enfermedades psiquiátricas (depresión) tanto a nivel molecular como comportamental. - El objetivo de este Trabajo Fin de Máster es comparar la pérdida ósea producida entre cuatro grupos de experimentación medida a nivel de trece localizaciones en hemi-mandíbulas de ratas mediante un análisis fotográfico calibrado.

Para la realización de este estudio se estableció una colaboración entre el grupo de investigación de Neuropsicofarmacología Molecular del Departamento de Farmacología de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) y el grupo de investigación de Etiología y tratamiento de enfermedades periodontales y peri-implantarias (ETEP).
