Abstract
[ABSTRACT] The aim of the discipline of Digital History is to make it possible to extend and store representative historical records in order to create a collection of ancient texts and events. Thus, its main goal is to digitalize all the possible sources of historical information and make them available to students, teachers and researchers through the Internet. In order to store the digitized historical documents for enabling their recovery and reuse, it is possible to create repositories, which serve as stores, archives or sites that store and maintain this digital information, and which conform the key infrastructure for the development, storage, management, search and retrieval of all this digitalized historical content. Since the undoubted educational value of all this material, the resulting repositories can be viewed as the basic substrate for repositories of learning objects specialized in the domain of History. The aim of this project is to despite the initial conception and design of one of these systems, which will make it possible to store digitized historical documents along with domain-specific metadata. These metadata will provide an explicit description of the most important aspects of each document from a historical perspective, facilitating the subsequent query, retrieval and presentation of the stored documents.
