Láminas para el Laboratorio de Botánica General (I): algas, hongos, hepáticas, musgos & helechos

Abstract

En esta primera parte de la obra, se presentan imágenes macroscópicas y microscópicas de algas, hongos, musgos, hepáticas y helechos, y de las estructuras básicas que los estudiantes de un curso de introducción a la botánica deben observar y saber interpretar. Las imágenes macroscópicas presentan detalles que se pueden ver fácilmente con una lupa binocular sencilla, y las de microscopía óptica se han obtenido con técnicas simples, montando preparaciones en agua, realizando cortes a mano alzada con cuchilla, y en general, sin ningún tipo de tinción. La organización de las imágenes deriva en gran parte de cómo se llevan a cabo estas prácticas en el Departamento de Biología Vegetal II de la Universidad Complutense.
[ABSTRACT]This first part of the work (1 of 2 parts) presents macro and microscopic images of algae, fungi, mosses, liverworts and ferns, and the basic structures that students must observe and know to interpret in an introductory course in botany. The macroscopic images show details that can be easily seen with the aid of any binocular microscope, whereas the microscopic images were obtained with simple techniques (e.g., preparations mounted in water, freehand sections made with a razor blade, and generally without any staining). The organization of images largely derives from that of the practical teaching carried out at the Department of Plant Biology 2 - Complutense University (Spain).
