Abstract
We propose a simple method to generate in practice the most general two-mode states with maximum entanglement. The method is based on energy-conserving dispersive interactions that can be easily implemented in different context such as quantum optical fields, quantum motion of trapped ions, or in Bose-Einstein condensates.
