Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación aborda el estudio de la producción lírica de Juan de la Cueva en sonetos, siguiendo la edición impresa en Sevilla en el año 1582. Aborda un estudio que va desde la biografía del autor hasta sus testimonios literarios y sus relaciones con otros poetas. Además se incluye la descripción tipobibliográfica de dicho impreso y el estudio profundo de la lengua poética del autor. La segunda parte incluye la edición y transcripción de los sonetos junto a un aparato de variantes extraído de un testimonio posterior (1603) y un conjunto de notas aclaratorias al contenido de los sonetos.

This researching project deals with the study of Juan de la Cueva’s poetry and, specifically, his sonets, by taking as a model the printout edition done in Sevilla in 1582. It also deals with the study of the poet’s biography as well as his literary texts and his relationships with other poets. Furthermore, it is included the typobibliography description of the printout edition and the deep study of Cueva’s poetic language. The second part includes the edition and transcription of all the sonets as well as the system of variations removed from a later text (1603) and the clarifying notes related to the sonets’ content.
