Abstract
En este trabajo se pretende demostrar la importancia que tienen, tanto el estudio, como la representación gráfica de los movimientos absolutos en fallas, cuestiones hasta ahora prácticamente ignoradas en la literatura. Para aclarar los conceptos de absoluto y relativo se efectúa un estudio teórico aplicando la noción de sistemas equivalentes, y el análisis vectorial del desplazamiento.
La representación gráfica propuesta aquí para los movimientos absolutos, clasifica las fallas en veintiocho tipos, y tiene una finalidad eminentemente práctica, destinada a completar y dar verdadero sentido genético a las fallas, tanto en mapas como en cortes geológicos.
Se proponen también algunos criterios para el reconocimiento de estos movimientos absolutos, recalcándose el interés de futuros estudios en este sentido.
In this paper we intend to show the importance of both, the study, and the graphical representation of absolute motions in faults, a topic unknown in the literature. In order to clarify the notions of absolute and relative, we develop a theoretical study based on the concept of equivalent systems, and on the vectorial analysis of the displacements. We propose a graphical representation for absolute motions which classifies faults in twenty eight types, with a practical meaning, aimed to complete and give genetical sense to the faults in geological maps and crosssections. We also propose sorne criteria for the recognition of these absolute motions, outlining the interest of future studies in this sense.
