Abstract
Este trabajo recoge unas reflexiones sobre el impacto de las Nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (NTIC) en nuestra sociedad, y lo que puede representar, tal como lo hizo en su momento la aparición de la escritura o la imprenta, en cuanto a la transformación del ser humano actual. En concreto, se plantea la necesidad de realizar una etnografía virtual desde la antropología, como disciplina que maneja unas herramientas de índole cualitativa que pueden servir para desentrañar, en el ámbito de la enseñanza, qué nuevos significados y valores están en juego en las relaciones dentro de la transmisión y adquisición de los conocimientos en el llamado ciberespacio, lugar de ingente producción de información que hará cambiar, probablemente, el concepto actual de alfabetización.
This paper presents some reflections on the impact of the New Technologies of Information and Communication (NTIC) in our society, and what it can represent, as it did at the time the appearance of writing or printing, as to transforming the current human. Specifically, it raises the need for a virtual ethnography from anthropology as a discipline tool handles qualitative in nature which may serve to unravel in the field of education, what new meanings and values are at stake in the relations within transmission and acquisition of knowledge in the so-called cyberspace, instead of huge production of information that will probably change the current concept of literacy.
