Abstract
Desde principios del siglo pasado existen multitud de estudios sobre superdotación, talento y altas capacidades. Desde que Terman y sus colaboradores (1925, 1947, 1959) llevaran a cabo su estudio longitudinal sobre los superdotados, el interés por el tema ha ido aumentando y se ha ido diversificado. Multitud de países, entre ellos España (García Yagüe, 1981; Genovard, 1982), fueron involucrándose en el estudio del tema, lo que originó precisiones en la descripción, conceptualización y diferenciación de términos como superdotación, talento, precocidad, prodigio y genio. Centrando la atención en la definición de los dos primeros términos, El Ministerio de Educación y Cultura Español define a los superdotados como "los alumnos que al presentar un nivel intelectual de rendimiento superior en una amplia gama de aptitudes y capacidades, aprenden con facilidad cualquier área o materia" (MEC, 2000). Esto hace referencia a una configuración intelectual específica expresada en rendimientos superiores en distintas áreas de la actividad humana. El mismo Ministerio define a los talentosos como "aquellos alumnos que muestran habilidades específicas en áreas muy concretas" (MEC, 2000). Así, se puede hablar de talento matemático, verbal, académico, motor, social, artístico, musical, creativo, entre otros. Actualmente, los términos superdotado, talentoso y aptitudes sobresalientes se han integrado al lenguaje de los educadores para referirse a todo tipo de manifestaciones excepcionales en el ámbito escolar y social del ser humano. Since early last century there are many studies of giftedness, talent and high capacities. Since Terman and collaborators (1925, 1947, 1959) carried out their longitudinal study about highly talented people, an interest in these people has grown and has been diversified. Many countries, including Spain (García Yagüe, 1981; Genovard, 1982), were engaging in the study of these talented people, resulting a description more specific about this subject, conceptualization and differentiation of terms such as gifted, talented, precocious prodigy and genius. Focusing on the definition of the first two terms, the Ministry of Education and Culture Spanish defined as gifted "students by presenting a superior intellectual level of performance in a wide range of skills and abilities, learn easily any area or matter "(MEC, 2000). This refers to a specific configuration that offers a high performance in different areas of human activity. The same Ministry defines talented people, as "students who show specific abilities in very particular areas" (MEC, 2000). Therefore, we can state that there are talented for areas such mathematical, verbal, academic, motoric, social, artistic, musical and creative, among others. Currently, the gifted, talented and outstanding abilities terms have been integrated into the language of educators to refer to all types of exceptional events in the school and social environment of the human being. The research object of this thesis is the early identification of competition Results Achievement: Results orientation as a variable component of talent in students of Secondary Education (ESO) in Spain. This study is considered particularly appropriate because of the present globalized world, with the progression of knowledge management models, the increasing war for talent and the existing hard crisis we are involved; is been reflected by stakeholders in a changing the organizational models and economic. Furthermore, the intention throughout the European Union is to "bring" more and more the educational system to professional and working productive areas.
