Abstract
La Realidad virtual es una tecnología que es una tecnología que representa un escenario a través de medios electrónicos, permitiendo al usuario interactuar con el mismo. En esta memoria describimos el uso de esta tecnología para pacientes con deficiencias cognitivas leves (DCL), con el fin de controlar sus deficiencias y mejorar en la medida de lo posible su calidad de vida. La aplicación muestra un interfaz de captura en 3D el movimiento de los usuarios. Esta funcionalidad permitirá al usuario interactuar con el sistema sin necesidad de disponer de ningín dispositivo físico de control.
Virtual Reality entails presenting our senses with a computer generated virtual environment, which can be explored and interacted with by a person. This technology was already used in previous works for assessing patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), and helping them to improve their lives. In this project we developed a software application which with the hardware support of a Kinnect can capture the user movements in 3D. This functionality allows to users with movement disabilities to interact with the system without the need of a physical interface. It will be of great value for elderly with a functional movement disorder.
