Abstract
En las siguientes páginas ofrecemos un breve examen de una serie de libros románticos españoles impresos en Madrid entre 1830 y 1865, y conservados en la Biblioteca Histórica “Marqués de Valdecilla”, para así poder cotejar las características materiales que la bibliografía especializada ofrece al respecto con ejemplares de época. De esta manera concluimos que el libro romántico español destaca por el juego o variedad de características materiales que están presentes en ellos, reflejo fiel de la sociedad del Romanticismo español.

The following pages offer a brief review of a series of romantic books printed Spaniards in Madrid between 1830 and 1865, and kept in the Historical Library "Marqués de Valdecilla", in order to compare the physical characteristics that the literature provides about with copies of time. Thus, we conclude that the Spanish romantic book highlights for the game or variety of material characteristics that are present in them as a true reflection of the society of Spanish Romanticism.
