Abstract
El dolor de hombro presenta una alta prevalencia en la población general tanto deportiva como sedentaria. El 75% corresponde a tendinopatías del manguito de los rotadores, siendo la más frecuente la tendinopatía del músculo supraespinoso. Se vienen utilizando diversos tratamientos para la tendinopatía del supraespinoso, no existiendo un consenso universalmente aceptado en el manejo de esta patología. Entre los tratamientos más frecuentemente utilizados se encuentran los ultrasonidos y la cinesiterapia. Teniendo en cuenta su alta incidencia y prevalencia, nos planteamos realizar un estudio randomizado simple ciego, para comparar la eficacia del ultrasonido terapéutico combinado con cinesiterapia. La hipótesis planteada es que la asociación de ultrasonidos con un programa de cinesiterapia es más eficaz a corto plazo, que la aplicación de la cinesiterapia aisladamente en el tratamiento de las tendinopatías del tendón del supraespinoso. El objetivo es evaluar la efectividad del tratamiento combinado de ultrasonido terapéutico y cinesiterapia en las tendinopatías del supraespinoso. El estudio se realizó en la clínica AFyR (Centro de Rehabilitación y Fisioterapia) con estancias separadas. Una zona de electroterapia donde se aplicó el ultrasonido y una zona de cinesiterapia donde se desarrollaron los ejercicios terapéuticos. El estudio se llevó a cabo entre febrero y agosto de 2015. La población objeto de estudio (población diana) estaba compuesta por 68 pacientes que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión de una población inicial de 83 (36 hombres y 47 mujeres), todos los pacientes acudieron a nuestro centro con el diagnóstico de tendinopatía del supraespinoso...
The shoulder pain highly prevails in the population in general, both in the sports population and in the sedentary population. Its 75% corresponds to rotator cuff tendinopathies, being the most frequent supraespinatus muscle tendinopathy. Different treatments are being currently used for the supraespinatus tendinopathy, notexisting a consensus universally accepted for the use of the treatment of this pathology. Among the most used treatments there are ultrasounds and kinesitherapy. Bearing on mind its high incidence and prevalence we considered the possibility of carrying out a blind, simple, random survey to compare the effectivity of the therapeutic ultrasound combined with kinesitherapy. The hypothesis is that the combination of ultrasounds with a kinesitherapy program is more effective in the short term than the application of kinesitherapy on its own in the treatment of the supraespinatus tendinopathy. The aim is to evaluate the efficacy of the mixed treatment of therapeutic ultrasound andkinesitherapy in the tendinopathys of supraespinatus. The survey was carried out in the AFyR clinic (Center of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy) with different rooms. An area for electrotherapy where ultrasound was applied and an area for kinesitherapy wheretherapeutic exercises were practiced. The survey took place between February and August 2015. The population subject to study (target population) was formed by 68 patients who fulfilled the inclusion criteria from an initial population of 83 (36 male, 4 female) all of them diagnosed with supraespinatus tendinopathy. Eleven patients failed the inclusion criteria, the left 72 formed the initial sample and were distributed randomly into two groups: an experimental group of 35 patients (two of whom didńt complete the survey) and a control group of 33 patients (two of whom didńt complete the survey)...
