Abstract
Il nous semble qu’il serait erroné d’attribuer une dimension mythique aux personnages, en dépit de l’aura qui leur confère leur nom. Nous sommes en pleine immanence subsumée par une transcendance de nature uniquement cosmique (la présence d’un arbitre l’eût transformée en transcendance sacrée). Progressivement, éclyptiquement (les fissures), la fatalité qui pèse sur les deux protagonistes voit son énergie s’épuiser dans un contexte “chimiquement pur”, c’est-à-dire, coupé de tout rapport avec la société, si présente dans le microcosme théâtral et dans le décor romanesque.

It would be wrong to attribute a mythical dimension to the characters, despite the aura that gives them their name. We are in full immanence subsumed by a transcendence of a purely cosmic nature (the presence of an arbiter would have transformed it into a sacred transcendence). Gradually, eclyptically, the fatality that weighs on the two protagonists sees its energy exhausted in a "chemically pure" context, that is, cut off from all relations with society, so present in the theatrical microcosm and in the romantic setting.
