Abstract
I.N.I Plus (Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview)...
The present work of Doctoral Thesis is framed in the perspective of the Psychology of Health oriented to the study of anxiety and depression in primary care adults. The objectives were to study the levels of depression and anxiety in adult primary care patients in Caracas, Venezuela, for which the different activities were grouped in three studies. In the first study, evidence of the psychometric validity of the Goldberg General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) in Venezuela was analyzed. In a sample of 441 participants, the adaptation and validation of the instrument was performed using the structural equation modeling method The following study consisted in adapting and providing evidence of validity to the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ) in the Venezuelan context with emphasis on the scale of anxiety and major depression. Different procedures were performed, such as reliability study based on internal consistency and two-halves method, convergent validity analysis for which the criteria obtained from GHQ-28 were used in a sample of 318 participants. In another sample of 80 participants, the COR curve (Operative Operative Curve of the Receiver) was estimated using a diagnosis made from the M.I.N.I (Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview) interview. In the third study, subscales PHQ-9 and GAD-7 were applied in a sample of 814 participants, patients from a primary care center. The sample found that 10.6% had major depression and 7% had generalized anxiety disorders. When analyzing the results by sociodemographic variables such as gender, age and marital status, some differences were found, but not statistically significant. The results are discussed in light of the international prevalence studies and the divergences are discussed...
