Abstract
Based on the question of whether there is an influence from the film "Blade Runner" or the novel on which it is based, Philip K. Dick’s "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", on Gonzalo Torrente Ballester’s novel "Perhaps the Wind May Take Us to Infinity", I seek to analyze their similarities. Finally, since there has not been possible to establish a direct influence and having detected some parallelism in the personalities of the main characters, as well as the concurrent fact of a romance with a female android, I conclude that in all likelihood we are in the presence of a case of literary polygenesis.
