Abstract
El primer objetivo de este trabajo es establecer una conexión objetiva entre el concepto hegeliano de espíritu objetivo y su utilización por parte de Georg Simmel, con el fin de llevar a cabo una crítica de la yuxtaposición entre la vida individual y la cultura a la que conduce la concepción de esta última como espíritu objetivo. El principio de universalidad anejo a este concepto conduce tanto a Hegel como a Simmel a sustituir una verdadera indagación acerca de la universalidad originaria del ser humano por una ficción en la que simplemente se reitera, bajo la forma de su negación, el principio de universalidad que de antemano se buscaba legitimar. Frente a esta ficción, el segundo objetivo de este trabajo es reconstruir esa universalidad originaria sobre la base de la idea de la «tercera posición» de Juan B. The first purpose of this paper is to establish an objective connection between the Hegelian notion of objective spirit and its utilisation on the part of Georg Simmel, with the aim of carrying out an appraisal of the juxtaposition of individual life and culture — a juxtaposition brought about by the conception of the latter as objective spirit. The principle of universality accompanying this concept leads both Hegel and Simmel to the replacement of a true indagation into the originary universality of humankind by a fabrication whereby the principle of universality they intend to legitimate is merely reiterated under the guise of its very negation. In view of this construction, the second objective of this work is to reconstruct such originary universality upon the basis of Juan B. Fuente's “third position” viewpoint, which goes on to show that it is not but life itself which, in mankind, becomes universal...
