Abstract
El ser humano se mueve entre el orden y el caos. El teatro, no podía ser de otra forma, también. La Ilustración griega, que tiene su eje vertebrador en la tragedia, en el conflicto, como la democracia, se desenvuelve en esa dialéctica. Y la estructura dramática que los griegos inventaron será un orden teatral -político ya con Esquilo, siguiendo a Adrados- que tendrá su reflejo, a través de sucesivos caos, hasta el hoy. Es un “eterno retorno” dramático que tiene su alfa y su omega en los límites de la peripecia humana.20 de diciembre de 1963. Comienza en Frankfurt uno de los más relevantes juicios sobre el Holocausto: el proceso de Auschwitz. De “supervivientes” se trató en el juicio. Arthur Miller estuvo en el proceso y estrenó meses más tarde Después de la caída, donde palpita Auschwitz. También asistieron Hannah Arendt, Max Frisch, Rolf Hochhuth, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Martin Walser… Hochhuth, en El Vicario, puso en escena Auschwitz -acto quinto, "Auschwitz o la espera de Dios"-, pieza que estrenó Erwin Piscator.El que, además de estar presente en el proceso, lo llevó a la literatura dramática fue Peter Weiss, en La indagación, estrenada el 19 de octubre de 1965, dos meses después de acabar el juicio, en el teatro Volksbühne de Berlín, también montada por Piscator. La indagación, además de ser una de las obras más significativas del siglo XX, es la pieza clave del “teatro documento” alemán...

The Greek Enlighment, that has its backbone in tragedy, in the conflict, like democracy, develops in that dialectic. And the dramatic structure invented by the Greeks will be a theatrical order -following Adrados, political since Aeschylus- that will have its reflect through successive chaos, until today. It is a dramatic “eternal recurrence” that has its alpha and omega in the limits of human experience.December 20, 1963. In Frankfurt begins one of the most important Holocaust ‘trials. That trial was about “survivors”. Arthur Miller was there and months later he had the premiere of After the Fall, where pounds Auschwitz. Also Hannah Arendt, Max Frisch, Rolf Hochhuth, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Martin Walser, were there…. Hochhluth, in The Deputy, stages Auschwitz -Act V, “Auschwitz or waiting for God”, a piece that was premiered by Erwin Piscator.Peter Weiss was in the trial and putted it on stage in The Investigation, premiered in October 19, 1965, two months after the end of the trial, in the Freie Volksbüne Berlin, staged also by Piscator. The investigation, was not only one of the most important dramas in the XXth Century, but also a key play in German documentary theatre.
