Abstract

Geological and geomorphological features, as well as active geological processes occurring In a certain geographical area, count among the most relevant factors to propose a site as a legally protected area, e.g. Natural Park or other. However, typically, little attention is paid to geological values during its subsequent management. The purpose o f this seminar is to raise a debate, and produce a document, on the important role geology can play in the management process of natural protected areas.
