Abstract

This work presents the whole process of creation of the short documentary film "La Finca, all this was the countryside (2019)", from the original idea to the final editing. This is a very personal and familiar work, made from an autoethnographic perspective that reflects, under an ecofeminist view, the loss of the rural and family world. This feeling of loss is made concrete in La Finca, where my grandmother Mari Carmen lives, a space currently located in the industrial area of Arganda del Rey, and whose sale seems imminent because of the construction of a scrap metal yard in the old estate of our neighbor. By fully immersing myself in memories and recollections, I try to understand the meaning this space has had in the construction of my identity in order to criticize a model of uncontrolled progress that happens at the expense of people and, above all, women.
