Abstract
For many years, Tooth-Supported Fixed Partial Prostheses (TSFPP) have been the treatment of choice when it is not possible to perform restorations with composite resins or similar materials, due to the amount of tissue to be replaced, or when it is required to replace one or several teeth. Despite the great impact of dental implants, TSFPP still have a wide field to be used as a first option, or as an alternative in the replacement of missing teeth. Today, the most common is to prepare the teeth that will receive a fixed restoration, with gingival finish lines, on which the technicians settle the restoration materials. However, the use of finish lines can present certain problems such as the difficulty of preparing them, especially when the teeth show decay in the most apical regions, or the difficulty of reproducing them with impressions, among others...
