Abstract

El presente trabajo se centra en el estudio de un corpo santo del siglo XVIII en el que se veneran las reliquias de San Vicente mártir ubicado en la Malahá, Granada. Se encuentra en el interior de una urna de madera dorada y cristal, en posición yacente y su manufactura incluye una amplia gama de materiales- tejido, lienzo, metal, osamenta, papel y vidrio- que hacen que sea una pieza compleja a nivel técnico, material y estructural.

Se aborda el estudio sobre la procedencia de la obra para identificar los detalles de su fabricación. Se ahonda en los aspectos históricos, artísticos y culturales que ayudarán a sentar las bases de la posterior restauración. Sobre estos conocimientos se estructurará el diseño de un plan de conservación curativa y preventiva cuyos objetivos son difundir el valor universal de la dicha pieza y conseguir su pervivencia futura.

Se propone una serie de técnicas para afrontar la restauración de la obra, clasificando los tratamientos por tipo de material. Se identifican las patologías, sus causas y se enumeran una serie de intervenciones aconsejables bajo el criterio de mínima intervención.

The present work focuses on the study of a corpo santo from the 18th century in which the relics of Saint Vincent martyr are venerated, located in Malahá, Granada. It is found inside a gilt wood and glass urn, in a reclining position, and its manufacture includes a wide range of materials - fabric, canvas, metal, skeleton, paper and glass - which make it a complex piece at a technical material and structural level. The study on the origin of the work is approached to identify the details of its manufacture. It delves into the historical, artistic, and cultural aspects that will help lay the bases for the subsequent restoration. Derived from this knowledge, the design of a curative and preventive conservation plan will be structured, the objectives of which are to spread the universal value of such piece and achieve its future survival. A series of techniques is proposed to deal with the restoration of the work, classifying the treatments by type of material. Pathologies and their causes are identified, and a series of advisable interventions are listed under the criterion of minimal intervention.
