Abstract
La década de los setenta supuso la actualización del conocimiento del Paleolítico en Madrid. Tras el escaso avance de esta disciplina entre la Guerra Civil y esta década, fue necesario una acumulación de datos que se cristalizaron en nuevas interpretaciones a partir de los años ochenta. Posteriormente se intentó desarrollar un proyecto acorde con la potencialidad de la zona, que no llegaría a consolidarse. A pesar de ello, el resultado de los trabajos creó un marco para el Paleolítico que ha sido el referente hasta nuestro días.
The modernization of knowledge about The Palaeolithic in Madrid began in the first years of the seventy decade. The lack of research in this discipline, between Civil War and this decade, demanded a first period of data capture that finally crystallized in new interpretations. Later, it is possible to observe a failed attempt to elaborate a proyect in agreement with the potentiality of this area. In spite of this fact, these researchs has given us the main reference for the modern studies of the Palaeolithic in Manzanares and Jarama valleys.
