Abstract
This document describes some crystallographic solids from the Department of Mineralogy and Petrology (formerly Crystallography and Mineralogy) of the Complutense University of Madrid, which have been selected from among the more than two thousand two hundred (2200) that this Department has catalogued. Specifically, these are thirty-four (34) specimens, which stand out for their uniqueness, didactic value, quality of the material and excellent workmanship, to be exhibited in different locations of the Faculty of Geological Sciences of the UCM (Museum of Geology and 6th floor of the Department of Mineralogy and Petrology). In relation to their uniqueness, there are two aspects that call our attention: a) their large size (they have an average wingspan of 13 x 7 x 5 cm), which is why they are described as "XL solids" and b) the abundance of "twins", most of which are articulated.
