Abstract
A lo largo de la historia, el arte ha aglutinado en sus elementos iconográficos símbolos para comunicar de forma, más o menos velada, ideas y sentimientos no aceptados socialmente y, especialmente desde la Edad Contemporánea, muestra su carácter reivindicativo, importancia comunicativa y unión con el desarrollo social de forma más notable. El estudio iconológico ayuda a acercarse a los cambios de criterio en cuanto a tolerancia e igualdad y siguiendo su desarrollo cronológico nos permite establecer su significado en nuestra sociedad.
Se ofrece en este estudio una selección de obras de arte como recurso eficaz para potenciar el respeto y la igualdad en las aulas en cuanto a género e igualdad LGTBIQ+, a través de su análisis interpretativo.
Se comienza con una explicación con base en: la fenomenología y el planteamiento hermenéutico de los filósofos franceses que, a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XX, abanderaron la reinterpretación de mitos y otros símbolos; la consideración de la idea de género de la teoría queer actual; y la propia experiencia personal en gestión cultural y educación.

Throughout history, art has brought together symbols in its iconographic elements to communicate, more or less veiled, ideas and feelings that are not socially accepted and, especially since the Contemporary Age, it shows its claiming character, communicative importance and union with social development more noticeably. The iconological study helps to approach the changes in criteria regarding tolerance and equality and following its chronological development allows us to establish its meaning in our society. This study offers a selection of works of art as an effective resource to promote respect and equality in the classroom in terms of gender and LGTBIQ+ equality, through their interpretive analysis. It begins with an explanation based on: the phenomenology and hermeneutic approach of the French philosophers who, from the second half of the 20th century, championed the reinterpretation of myths and other symbols; consideration of the idea of gender in current queer theory; and his own personal experience in cultural management and education.
