Abstract
In this academic work we revise different models for the mathematical study of muscular injuries due to physical efforts in sports. We try to give an outlook about miscellaneous mathematical techniques in case somebody wants to make a research, in particular on sports injuries. Firstly, we give a formal introduction of the work and motivation with the objective and context. After that we discuss several factors that influence muscular injuries in sports. Then, we present a simple and concise theory about the different regression models that can be used in an experiment and how they should be used depending the results you want to achieve. Finally, these models are applied in a database with sports features using the statistical software RStudio, also used to generate all graphs, in order to achieve several conclusions.
