Abstract
A través de la intersección de los estudios ibéricos y los estudios de traducción se investigan las relaciones entre las literaturas en castellano, catalán, euskera, gallego y portugués. Se abordan las transferencias de colecciones de cuentos para público adulto en el marco temporal 2007-2015. Se establece como punto de partida el reconocimiento explícito de las diversas identidades plurilingües y plurinacionales integradoras del espacio ibérico. Se examina en qué medida la crisis socioeconómica iniciada en el año 2008 condiciona los flujos de traducción y las comunicaciones intersistémicas. El corpus de obras traducidas se obtiene por medio de las búsquedas cruzadas en bases bibliográficas estatales, nacionales e internacionales. Con apoyo en diferentes propuestas teóricas —teoría de campos sociales, de polisistemas, de comunidades interliterarias o de comunidades lingüísticas— se estudian las posiciones tanto de las autorías de creación literaria como de las traducciones, los tipos de volúmenes de cuentos traducidos, las modalidades de traducción, los formatos de edición, las características de los agentes editoriales y de los mercados de recepción, las subvenciones a la traducción y/o a la edición y, finalmente, la internacionalización de las obras recogidas. En concreto, desde la perspectiva de las comunidades lingüísticas se analizan las incorporaciones al corpus de colecciones de cuentos traducidos de autorías de América Latina o de los PALOP-TL con recepción en alguna de las lenguas del espacio ibérico, distinguiendo claramente su origen en otros espacios geoculturales y evitando incurrir en posiciones homogeneizadoras.
This thesis investigates the relationships between literatures in Spanish, Catalan, Basque, Galician and Portuguese at the intersection between Iberian Studies and Translation Studies. In particular, we address the transfers of story collections for adult audiences in the 2007-2015 timeframe. To this end, we first establish the explicit recognition of the diverse plurilingual and plurinational identities that build the Iberian space. Then, we examine the extent to which the socio-economic crisis that began in 2008 has conditioned the translation flows and inter-systemic communications. The corpus of translated works is obtained by means of cross-referencing state, national and international bibliographic databases. We study, through the lenses of different theoretical proposals (e.g. the theory of social fields, of polysystems, of interliterary communities or of linguistic communities), the positions of authorship of literary creation and of translations, the types of volumes of translated short stories, the modalities of translation, the publishing formats, the characteristics of the publishing agents and of the reception markets, the subsidies for translation and/or publishing and, finally, the internationalization of the works collected. Specifically, from the perspective of linguistic communities, we analyze the incorporation into the corpus of collections of translated short stories by authors from Latin America or the PALOP-TL with reception in any of the languages of the Iberian space, clearly distinguishing their origin in other geocultural spaces and avoiding homogenizing positions.
