Abstract
Objetivo principal: En pacientes con periodontitis estadios III o IV, comparar la supervivencia y pérdida ósea marginal a medio plazo de implantes cortos (≤ 7 mm)en función de que hayan acudido o no de manera regular a sus citas de mantenimiento periodontal. Objetivos secundarios:En los implantes cortos de estos pacientes con periodontitis estadio III o IV: 1. Determinar la asociación entre el tabaco y la supervivencia y pérdida ósea marginal. 2. Comparar la supervivencia y pérdida ósea marginal de los implantes colocados en maxilar o en mandíbula. 3. Estudiar el posible efecto del tipo de implante (superficie y diseño yuxta o supraóseo). 4. Analizar si el colapso posterior de mordida (estadio IV) podría influir en la supervivencia y pérdida ósea marginal.
