Abstract
Esta tesis doctoral trata del tiempo y del trabajo. El documento propone una selección de prácticas artísticas para analizar y visibilizar los hilos que conectan las recientes transformaciones del trabajo con las nuevas formas de experiencia temporal propias de la época neoliberal. La primera parte de la tesis funciona a modo de estado de la cuestión, dando cuenta de la metodología, las aportaciones bibliográficas, seminarios, proyectos curatoriales e investigaciones artísticas, que han servido para definir el suelo sobre el que se apoya la investigación. A continuación, la tesis aborda el objeto de estudio desde tres aproximaciones, que se corresponden con tres grandes bloques: la economía biopolítica del tiempo, los ritmos y los contratiempos...
This PhD dissertation is about time and labor. By analyzing a wide selection of contemporary art practices, it aims at providing a deeper understanding on how recent shifts on labor are intimately connected to particular modes of experiencing time. This document begins by providing an overview of the chosen methodology and the most relevant bibliographic references, seminars, curatorial projects and artistic investigations, which have been crucial for establishing the grounds for this dissertation.The object of study has been addressed by using three main approaches, corresponding to three main blocks, which are bound around three main concepts: biopolitical economy of time, rhythms and (counter)times. Each block presents a selection of art practices, which have been carefully organized and structured in relation to a range of key concepts, which seem fundamental for understanding recent shifts in time and labor during neoliberalism.
