Abstract
La Guerra Civil constituye un tema histórico apasionante. Además, uno de sus aspectos más importantes y devastadores es la cuestión del tratamiento de los heridos por los combates y de las víctimas civiles, que necesitaron del cuidado de cuantos médicos existían en España y concretamente de los cirujanos. Junto con los empleados durante la Gran Guerra, los métodos que se pusieron en práctica durante la Guerra Civil Española supusieron un importante desarrollo de las técnicas quirúrgicas. Esta investigación constituye una aproximación general a la atención sanitaria que recibió el elevado contingente de heridos que produjo el mayor conflicto bélico al que se ha tenido que enfrentar España en su historia. Conocer cómo evolucionaron y cómo se organizaron, nos permite conocer las aportaciones a la sanidad y a la cirugía de guerra realizadas por nuestro personal médico, lo cual constituye el motivo principal de esta investigación. Al centrarnos en un aspecto importante pero olvidado de la Guerra Civil española, la evolución de la atención médica y quirúrgica de los heridos durante el conflicto, se pretende cubrir un hueco informativo sobre la historia de la Medicina y de la Cirugía españolas, que en la mayoría de las publicaciones y estudios siempre queda casi en blanco, como si no hubiese existido, no existiesen datos al respecto o no fuese relevante...
The Civil War is an exciting historical topic. In addition, one of its most important and devastating aspects is the treatment of those injured by the fighting and of civilian victims, who needed the care of all the doctors that existed in Spain and specifically surgeons. After those used during the Great War, the methods that were put into practice during the Spanish Civil War led to an important development of surgical techniques.This research constitutes a general approach to the health care received by the large contingent of wounded that produced the largest war conflict that Spain has had to face in its history. Knowing how they evolved and how they were organized allows us to know the contributions to health and war surgery made by our medical staff, which is the main reason for this research.By focusing on an important but forgotten aspect of the Spanish Civil War, the evolution of medical and surgical care for those wounded during the conflict, it is intended to cover an information gap on the history of Spanish Medicine and Surgery, which in the Most publications and studies are always almost blank, as if it had not existed, there were no data on the matter, or it was not relevant...
