Abstract
La presente investigación, titulada ‘Los contenidos periodísticos en los medios para dispositivos móviles: la adaptación a la evolución tecnológica’, se encuadra en el corpus de investigaciones sobre la influencia del soporte en los medios de comunicación y, en concreto, en la producción y distribución de informaciones periodísticas. Como todo lo relativo a las Ciencias de la Información, este estudio se integra en el campo científico de las Ciencias Sociales. En nuestro ámbito de investigación, que comprende, por una parte, cuestiones relativas a producción de contenidos en medios web y, por otra, esa producción en apps para soportes móviles, existe una clara diferencia en cuanto a fuentes anteriores: existe una amplísima literatura que analiza desde todos los ángulos imaginables la repercusión de la World Wide Web en los medios de comunicación, y en ella nos hemos basado en una etapa de esta investigación para extraer conclusiones con las que contrastar la segunda parte, la producción informativa en apps para dispositivos móviles, lado del que apenas existe investigación aún (solo hemos hallado una tesis relacionada con –que no centrada en– este mismo tema), más allá de algunos artículos para congresos o revistas. Por otro lado, existen también fuentes de todo tipo relativas a la repercusión de las TIC en ámbitos informativos aledaños a la mera producción y distribución, como pueden ser el comportamiento de las audiencias en la sociedad de la información, la vigencia de ciertas teorías científicas o las notas definitorias de la comunicación en redes sociales. Esta investigación, por tanto, se sitúa en un terreno prácticamente inexplorado: el de la aplicación de las principales características de Internet (hipertextualidad, multimedialidad, bidirecionalidad, universalidad…) a los medios de comunicación que se distribuyen en apps para dispositivos móviles, y sus consecuencias en las escrituras propias de los medios digitales nativos para estas plataformas. Nos marcamos como límite en ellas la interrelación entre características técnicas y escrituras: no entramos a analizar el relato como tal, ni la estructura específica de piezas informativas, sino que tratamos de arrojar luz sobre el momento previo...
This research, entitled 'The news content in media for mobile devices: adaptation to technological developments', fits into the corpus of research on the influence of the devices on the media and in particular, on the production and distribution of news reports. Like everything concerning Information Science, this study is integrated in the scientific field of social sciences. In our research area, which comprises issues in the production of content on web media on the one hand, and the production of content in apps for mobile devices on the other hand, there is a clear difference as far as earlier sources are concerned: there is a vast literature which analyses the impact of the World Wide Web on the media from every conceivable angle, so we have relied on it at an early stage of this investigation in order to draw conclusions with which to study the second part, i.e. the production of news reports in apps for mobile devices, since there is hardly any research about this issue beyond some articles for conferences or magazines (we have only found a thesis related to the same topic but not focused on it). However, it is also possible to find a wide range of sources for the impact of ICT on fields which are adjacent to the mere production and distribution, such as the behaviour of audiences in the information society, the validity of certain scientific theories or the defining features of communication in social networks. This research therefore lies in a virtually unexplored terrain: the application of the key features of Internet (hypertext, multimedia, bidirectional capacity, universality...) in the media distributed in apps for mobile devices, and its consequences on the specific writing style of the native digital media for these platforms. We set the limit on the interrelationship between technical characteristics and writing style: we do not analyse the story as such, nor the specific structure of news pieces, but we try to shed light on the previous moment...
