Abstract
Desde inicios del siglo XXI Peru ha disfrutado de un periodo de fuerte crecimiento economico y una notable mejora en los resultados de diversos indicadores de caracter socioeconomico. Sin embargo, es reconocida su gran heterogeneidad en el ambito territorial, donde algunos espacios se han ido configurando a lo largo de los años como los principales centros de la actividad economica, mientras que otros han quedado progresivamente relegados a una situacion de estancamiento relativo. En este contexto, el objetivo de la tesis consiste en establecer si dicho periodo de crecimiento y dinamismo ha contribuido a reducir los desequilibrios territoriales presentes historicamente en el país. Para abordar este objetivo la investigacion analiza las transformaciones acaecidas en las estructuras productivas regionales y examina su vinculacion sobre el crecimiento y sobre la evolucion de las disparidades entre territorios existente en este país...
Since the beginning of the 21st century, Peru has enjoyed a period of strong economic growth and a remarkable improvement in the results of several socioeconomic indicators. However, its territorial heterogeneity is well known, where some spaces have been configured over the years as the main centers of economic activity, while others have been progressively relegated to a situation of relative stagnation. In this context, the objective of the thesis is to establish if the period of growth and dynamism has contributed to the reduction of territorial imbalances historically present in the country.
