Abstract
El acto delictivo se ha convertido en uno de los mayores problemas urbanos en las ciudades actuales. Desde la Geografía del Crimen se abordan y analizan las problemáticas espaciales que conllevan los actos ilícitos desde diferentes puntos de vista y líneas de investigación, centrando el presente trabajo desde una orientación positivista, el uso de las TICs y, como elemento central, poniendo en valor los mapas del crimen.Se acomete a lo largo del texto una aproximación tanto teórica como práctica del estudio espacial del delito, atendiendo a los análisis realizados por los autores clásicos y examinando el impacto de los actuales planes de prevención y las nuevas tecnologías sobre temas de seguridad ciudadana,incorporando algunas herramientas desarrolladas por el autor de esta Tesis,basadas en las TIC´s, para la gestión de la seguridad en los espacios urbanos y el estudio locacional del delito, fundamentalmente en Alcalá de Henares...
The criminal act has become one of the biggest urban problems in today's cities. From the Geography of Crime, the spatial problems involved inillegal acts from different points of view and lines of research are approached and analyzed, focusing the present work from a positivist orientation, the use ofICTs and, as a central element, putting in value, the crime maps. Throughout the text, a theoretical and practical approach to the spatial study of crime is undertaken, taking into account the analyzes carried out by the classic authors and examining the impact of current prevention plans and new technologies on citizen security issues, incorporating some tools developed by the author of this Thesis, based on ICTs, for the management of security in urban spaces and the locational study of crime, mainly in Alcalá de Henares. The city of Cervantes, an urban space on which the Thesis is being developed, serves as an urban substrate for the application and development of a business initiative aimed at developing a useful mapping for the security forces and has allowed the development of the different Atlas of the Security of Alcalá de Henares, which served as the basis for the spatial analysis of crime in the city and its relationship with space and socio-economic variables.
