Abstract
Este trabajo es el resultado, ante todo, de mi pasión como lector y como universitario, por Leonardo Sciascia. Es también una rendición de cuentas respecto de lo que siempre he sido y aun es mi verdadera vocación, el interés que siempre he tenido por la Historia, la crónica, los textos que afrontan la relación del devenir histórico con la existencia. Sciascia es, en este sentido, el autor italiano contemporáneo que mejor sintetiza mi interés.Quisiera subrayar que en este trabajo, y por tanto creo que no debe buscarse, un enfoque ni tradicionalmente filológico, ni en un sentido amplio crítico, he ceñido mi lectura a un solo texto de Sciascia, 1912 + 1 pero siempre he mantenido una mirada general, amplia, que engloban toda su obra y sobretodo,sus temáticas generales y sus convicciones más firmes. Esas convicciones atraviesan toda la producción del autor de modo que la elección de uno u otro texto, era casi una cuestión secundaria...
A writer like Leonardo Sciascia with an ideology and politicsindependence is like a free Ethos, it is flexible and can write about the issues youare interested, being independent is responsible for getting information, evaluatingit and eventually denouncing the injustices committed.Above all, a writer has to be two things: curious and thirsty for justice.Certainly there is some stubbornness in the investigation of the facts. That is, researchskills must be available, as well as the ability to ask the right questions, the writer mustbe able to think carefully about his approach to gather Information and proceedanalytically. Knowledge in the fields of politics, society, the economy and history areindispensable. If someone tries to talk about the meaning of the intellectual–today'swriter is delicate; anyone can call himself Intellectual–writer and work as such. Sincethen act journalism, the modern intellectual–writer, is not a necessary condition to workas a journalist, journalists come from different backgrounds areas, so it is a concept thatis sometimes polluted and mixed with the term "intellectual."...
