El pronóstico de la Artritis Reumatoide (AR) ha mejorado drásticamente en los últimos años, sobre todo con el uso de los fármacos modificadores de la enfermedad (FAME) pero este avance se ve ensombrecido por el riesgo de desarrollar eventos adversos (EA) a dichos fármacos. Después de más de veinte años usándolos, es ampliamente conocida su eficacia, pero es necesario aumentar nuestro conocimiento sobre sus EA, sobre todo aquellos que obligan a su suspensión y especialmente fuera delas condiciones de ensayo clínico.
